Oak Grove Cemetery
Oak Grove is ground zero for Borden burials. There are many thousands of folks buried here and thousands of them are Borden by name, even more by maternal lines.
My grandparents, Herbert and Clara (Booth) Borden are here, as well as gr- grandparents Thomas and Mary Booth, gr-grandparents Stephen A and Frances (Wheeler) Borden and gr-gr-grandparents Stephen and Sarah (Brayton) Borden, and hundreds more cousins.
Here you will find the rich and famous mill owners, bankers, ship owners, railroad men of the gilded Fall River era and the Borden days of influence there. Even the infamous Lizzie Borden is here.
Al Borden transcribed many of the Borden burials, click HERE for the list

North Burial Ground
The first town cemetery in Fall River, it was layed out when the town was formed in the early 1800's, and is located at the corner of North Main and Brightman streets. In the mid 1800's the Oak Grove Cemetery replaced the North Burial Ground as the main cemetery in Fall River.
In this location are many of Fall River's founding families. Included are some of my Brayton - Lake Ancestors; Frances and Agnes (Lake) Brayton, my 3rd great grandparents. They are the parents of Sarah Potter Brayton Borden my great great grandmother.
Also here are Agnes' parents Pardon and Ruth Lake. Pardon was a soldier of the Revolution

St Patrick's Cemetery
St Patrick's cemetery in Fall River is operated by the Catholic Diocese and is heavily Irish with some Portuguese. Many members of my wife's family (FOX) are buried here. There are FOX family members in the old St Mary's cemetery which is poorly marked and no longer in active use. My wife's maternal line, MARQUES, are buried in Notre Dame Cemetery (French and Portuguese) which is not depicted here.
